12/15/11: With all the events at work that have involved food this week, I feel like I’m getting paid to eat. The theme of this week continued with the Division of Student Affairs Holiday Party at Tavern in the Square. With today feeling like a “Friday” all day, it was nice to wrap things up right at 4:30 and head into the city for some downtime with colleagues around the division. It’s nice to connect with people who you most often see in work settings to see each other as “humans” outside of our offices. As always, it was great to hang out with the two fabulous women in the FYeahhh (who knows if I spelled that correctly) area. I attribute a lot of my positive experience living on a college campus again to these two…and random excursions and hangout sessions. My only complaint. It needs to happen more. Oh, and holiday parties aren’t as awkward as the movies make them seem!
