12/10/11: After waking up this morning not feeling my finest, I realized that the original plans of playing with the niece and nephew probably wouldn’t be the best idea. But, going back into the city to watch 500 people run up and down Boylston and Newbury Street dressed as Santas in speedos was a great idea instead! So, as always, Ellie stepped up to the adventure (despite being a biznatch and complaining about her cold ears). Once again, I was reminded of why I love living in this city…and all the quirky things that come along with it. The day continued with some Christmas shopping (yay doing all three niece/nephews in one day!) and some awkward holiday party action. And there was no better way to close out the day than with an adventure around all the grocery stores in Waltham and the surrounding area with ER looking for a Redbox with decent movies. After an hour, traveling to three grocery stores (including a Shaw’s that fooled us with it’s tape-altered hours of operation, we finally realized we could just download a movie off iTunes. And so we did! Alas, it was all worth the adventure…and at 3:00 am now, I realize I should probably get some shut eye as I imagine I’ll be getting a phone call from a 4 and 6 year old looking to play real soon.
