12/7/11: Despite my dislike of snow, I’m always a big fan of this time of year. Generally, I enjoy all the festiveness and cheer of the holiday season. I remember the days at Holy Cross of walking up the library steps and seeing the big Christmas tree on the O’Kane steps and the Nativity on the library stairs (with Jesus baby when it wasn’t stolen) and excitedly count down to Christmas. So, coincidently on the evening of the annual tree lighting at Holy Cross, I fulfilled the void (unknowingly) with some other holiday cheer…Bentley style. The Holiday Show tonight was hokey, funny, and…well, hokey. I’m not sure anything will ever match Christmas season at the Cross, but when you can sing along to Charlie Brown and The Grinch, I’d consider such a success! Guess this means I can start turning my volume up a little bit louder to Michael Buble’s Christmas album in the office tomorrow. =)
